All Arc One Protective Services Guardians and Safe School Professionals are highly trained personnel who are in place to respond quickly in the event of an active shooter. Our Guardians and SSPs are community-minded with the desire to protect student and faculty populations from violent threats.

With the Arc One Guardian Program

Arc One Guardians, in Florida, are trained in accordance with the Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program Florida State directives. They are armed personnel who aid in the prevention or mitigation of active assailant incidents on Florida school campuses.

Arc One Protective Services hand-picks our Texas Guardian Program Professionals, called Safe School Professionals, from our pool of applicants with law enforcement, military, and former educator backgrounds.

All SSPs are team players and role models in the communities they serve.

We are well-equipped to meet the requirements of Texas House Bill 3 for enhancing school safety measures.

Our Guardian assigned school personnel in Florida attend in-service annual training with Sheriff Departments and Arc One to thrive in the continuously evolving school environments; while School Security Personnel (SSP’s) in other states receive specialized training in accordance with state or county requirements and good “Safe-School” methodology.

  • A Guardian is a Florida specific security officer who has completed required state regulated training with a Florida sheriff’s training facility. They have successfully passed all background checks, mental health tests, and passed all law enforcement firearms training. Additional training is conducted by Arc One Professional Trainers or approved training vendors. A minimum of 200 hours of training have been successfully completed before assignment to a Guardian protected school.

    A Safe School Professional (SSP) is a non-Florida role created in response to the increasing concern and occurrence of mass violence in schools. Their extensive background in providing security presence in sensitive environments makes them exceptional options to engage with students, staff, and parents with the shared objective of promoting general well-being within the scholastic community.

  • The primary objective of Guardians and SSPs is to provide a school environment free from violence. But, also, Arc One personnel receive training to influence and foster positive change and growth in the school culture and climate. They offer comprehensive school security services that encompass monitoring, patrolling, and on-site response. Specially selected state licensed officers are employed to detect and respond to potential threats before they escalate, ensuring a safe and secure environment for students and staff.

  • All of Arc One’s Guardian Professionals have attended and graduated from the Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program course hosted by a Sheriff’s training department, in addition to the Guardian Program training.

    Arc One Protective Services designed its own Safe School in-house training course based on several school safety departments throughout the country.

The Importance of Working with SRO, Bullying Prevention, De-Escalation training, Community Violence Intervention, Federal Emergency Management Agency certification, First-Aid, and Stop the Bleed Courses. These additional courses make our SSP a great resource for the school and its students. Additional training is continually evaluated for possible implementation.
